I've now officially entered month seven of my pregnancy! We've got about 12 weeks (if I go full term) to go until our baby girl will be here. Time has slowed down a bit lately, but not as much as I had anticipated. We've gotten most of the larger items we'll need for her arrival such as her furniture, a swing, and stroller and car seat. We still need a lot of everyday things for her but will hold off on buying anything until after I've had a baby shower. Our stroller came last week and we tested it out on the only little thing we have at home...Milo! He was a good sport as Scott and I pushed him around the house in the stroller.
I swear my belly gets bigger every week as out little girl continues to grow. Scott's been taking pictures every month so we can document my growth. I had a glucose test last week with my doctor to test for gestational diabetes and everything came back normal. So far my pregnancy is going just as expected. I've become more uncomfortable sleeping at night, but that's to be expected. Little Tori is training me for when she comes. October can't come soon enough and we're really excited to meet out little one!

...and the sewing continues!!!
Now that I've gotten the hang of my new sewing machine, I want to use it all the time. Scott and I both had the 4th of July off from work so I took the opportunity to make a couple more things for the baby. Her crib came with a change table but we haven't been able to find a cover that fits the pad properly. Well, I solved that problem by making a change pad cover myself. I didn't have a pattern so kind of winged it. On my first attempt I made the cover too narrow so that the pad wouldn't fit in. After ripping out the stitching I made a second attempt and got it right...yay! The cover isn't perfect but it'll work. I'll probably make a couple extras for when this one gets dirty, which I imagine will happen quite often. I also tied a blanket earlier in the week. I've now successfully made two blankets for baby T. What will be next on my to do list??

Finally used my sewing machine
So I finally took my new sewing machine out of the box after having it for a little while. My first project was to make a baby blanket for Tori. I bought some cute and soft fabric a while back. I was a little nervous to make the blanket as it's been a while since I last sewed something and I had never used my new machine before. I was able to set up the machine petty quickly and easily. Making the blanket also didn't take as much time as I thought. The most tedious part was pinning the fabric together and pinning the seams. Once the sewing started I was on a roll. This was the first blanket I've ever made and I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself. It's not perfect by any means but I know I'll get better with practice. I plan on making as much stuff for baby T as I can.
